The Canada-Japan Society is proud to continue its long-running support of the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival by sponsoring the screening of David Boyle's film, Daylight Savings.
Daylight Savings sees the team of director David Boyle and actor/musician Goh Nakamura together again with a follow-up to last year's romantic comedy, Surrogate Valentine. Nakamura reprises his character, Goh, an alternate-universe version of himself, who finds that life is not quite imitating art when his suddenly successful life no longer mimics the lovelorn lyrics of his music.
Less of a sequel and and more of a new chapter, Daylight Savings explores relationships, break-ups, heartbreak and road trips in a more dreamy and melancholic tone than the previous film - all while still poking fun at the lifestyle of the working musician.
