Friends of the CJS, the Hiroshima Day Coalition, have teamed up with Sierra Club Canada to commemorate the anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 in their world-wide movement to abolish nuclear weapons and promote peace. Actress Shirley Douglas will be the featured speaker and there will musical performances, lantern ceremonies and an art display at this event taking place in Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto beginning at 6:45 p.m. This is a public event, free and open to all.
