CJS Escape Room Adventure @ Mystery Room

Need a distraction from the long work week to lift your spirits? Do you enjoy solving puzzles and playing cooperative games? If so, then this event is for you. CJS is thrilled to be hosting its first ever outing to an escape room!

There are already hundreds of online games that involve solving puzzles, collecting items and deciphering riddles to unlock a door and successfully escape from the room you're in. At Mystery Room, you'll put yourself into that very same situation. You and a group of team mates will be forced to think outside the box and put your problem solving skills to the test if you want to escape successfully. Did I mention there's a time limit?

Date: Thursday, April 20

Time: 7 - 8 PM
Location: Mystery Room (419 Dundas St. West)
Cost: $22

The game will start promptly at 7 PM, so please try to arrive a few minutes early. The room we've reserved is called Vampire Story.

The cost for this event is $22 per person. Our reservation can accommodate up to 9 people; beyond that, anyone wishing to participate will be subject to the availability of the other rooms. For those that do not wish to join the escape room, Mystery Room also has a library of board games to enjoy for a reasonable rate. Please refer to the home page for further details about the venue.

March 2nd, 2017 - Ichimokukai ・ 一木会

Hi All! There may not be any cherry blossoms here yet in Toronto but they’re going to arrive soon in Japan! C’mon out and get a start on Spring with the Canada Japan Society at ICHIMOKUKAI! We’re back to our regular schedule of the first Thursday of the month at the cozy confines of Manpuku.

Ichimokukai literally means the "first Thursday meeting" and since 1995 it has been the Canada Japan Society of Toronto's monthly social event, naturally on the first Thursday of every month. It is a great place to make new friends, practice your English and/or Japanese, informally network, learn more about life in Canada and Japan, and most of all have fun! Our attendees are usually around 50 percent Canadian and 50 percent Japanese, all with a common interest or connection with Japan. At IMK you will receive special food and drink discounts, get to talk to lots of interesting people, and have the chance to win some exciting door prizes…..and get information on Bonenkai and a multitude of CJS upcoming events.

We hope to see you there!

Come early to ensure a good seat!
