Our friends at The Japan Foundation in Toronto are presenting a talk by Professor Kimie Hara of the University of Waterloo, "60 Years Later: The San Francisco Peace Treaty and the Regional Conflicts in East Asia." Professor Hara is the Renison Research Professor and Director of East Asian Studies, Renison University College, University of Waterloo, who specializes in modern and international relations of the Asia-Pacific region. She has authored numerous publications, including Cold War Frontiers in the Asia-Pacific: Divided Territories in the San Francisco System (2007). She will be joined by Professor Nobuo Shimotomai of the Faculty of Law, Hosei University (Tokyo). The event takes place on Wednesday, February 29 at 6:30pm at The Japan Foundation, 131 Bloor Street West, 2nd floor of the Colonnade Building.
